Civitavecchia (Rome), ITALY - Settled in 108 AD, Civitavecchia has since faithfully served as a gateway to the capital of the Empire, Rome.  Gaze upon the very ceilings Michaelangelo painted at the Sistine Chapel, or visit the monument to both size and faith, St. Peter's Basilica, the largest church ever built.
